IIL HONOUR CODE & STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT

All students enrolled at Indian Institute of Logistics are responsible for knowing and adhering to the honour code. The honour code and the student code of conduct both lay out fair, respectful and ethical behaviours that allow the IIL community to thrive and encourage each IIL student to succeed.

Learn more about the policies and outcomes a student may face responsible of violating either code. Violations of the policy may include plagiarism, cheating, fabrication, lying, bribery, threat, unauthorized access to academic materials and aiding academic dishonesty.

Attendance, Timings, Dress Code and Facilities

Abide by rules regarding punctuality, dress code, attendance, and proper use of facilities.

Institute hours: Morning session from 08:00 hrs to 13:15 hrs; Afternoon session from 13:45hrs to 19:00 hrs.

Breaks: 15-minute interval

No entry allowed into ongoing classroom sessions after faculty has entered.

Wear ID Cards visibly on campus; show when required.

Classroom training: IIL uniforms; Industrial visits: T-shirts; shoes are mandatory.

Maintain grooming standards: Neatly trimmed hair and nails.

Do not disturb classes or campus discipline; disruptive behavior will be penalized.

Obey instructions during tours, trips, field and industrial training; follow safety norms.

Maintain silence in the library; no mobile phones allowed.

No leaving campus during academic hours without permission.

Be punctual; attendance is only given if present within 5 minutes of the start.

Submit medical certificates if absent for 3+ consecutive days due to illness.

Representation in inter-college events requires prior permission; max 3 exemptions per semester.

Respect others rights, dignity, and property; do not damage institute property (minimum fine ₹ 500).

Use respectful language; no vulgar or profane language.

Campus access after hours requires permission

Fill correct details in the Student Information Form, including parent contact information

Behave decently with all campus members; zero tolerance for eve-teasing and sexual harassment.

Use of alcohol, tobacco, drugs on campus is strictly forbidden; violations may lead to expulsion.

Do not hold rallies or protests near the administrative block; raise issues through proper channels.

Two Wheeler parking allowed with valid RC and driving license; park only in designated areas.

Do not harm or damage institute property; violators face strict action.

Maintain proper etiquette; avoid vulgar language.

Access and Security

Entry after hours permitted only with permission.

Correctly fill in all details in the Student’s Information Form.

Uphold academic integrity; no plagiarism or cheating.

Maintain discipline and silence during exams.

Attend CIA exams held twice a semester; bring hall tickets and ID cards.

Sign attendance during exams; only permitted materials allowed.

No gadgets or unauthorized materials in the exam hall.

Verify question papers; return irrelevant ones immediately.

No communication or movement during exams; violations may lead to severe penalties.

Leave exam room only during last 30 minutes.

Attend at least 80% of classes; less than this may result in detention from exams.

Regular attendance via biometric system; punctuality is mandatory.

Attendance below 70% but above 60% requires a condonation fee of Rs. 500 per 1% shortfall.

Attendance below 60% but above 50% requires a condonation fee of Rs. 1000 per 1% shortfall.

Attendance below 50% may result in disqualification from exams.

A minimum of 80% attendance is mandatory for eligibility to appear in exams.

Attendance shortage letters will be sent monthly to parents for continuous absences.

The Institute expects all students to adhere to these rules diligently to maintain a conducive learning environment.
